Something needs to be done, I’m tired of us victims being treated like the ‘bad guys’ for wanting justice to be carried out. These anti-DP people portray the perps as the “poor victims” that need pity & ‘mercy’ . RIDICULOUS!

Debi, those who have been murdered, along with their families and other loved ones, are indeed victims. It is tragic that people have their lives almost completely ruined because a loved one has been murdered.

All human beings should be treated with dignity. They deserve that dignity because they are all created in the image of God.

Victims of murderers should have been treated with dignity. They weren’t and that is awful.

Murderers are also created by God and should be treated with dignity – even if they have committed a heinous sin. God will forgive that sin if the murderer is sorry and atones.

Every single human being in the world should be treated with dignity.

Taking the life of a human being when that human being can be kept in prison for the rest of his life with absolutely no possibility of parole (with the exception of exoneration)goes against his/her dignity. Two wrongs don’t make a right. The innocent public can be kept safe and the murderer can and should be punished. Being kept in prison for the rest of his/her life is a punishment.

We should not kill human beings unless they are presenting a danger. This is why killing in self-defense or in case of war is appropriate.

When human beings are not presenting a danger we should not take their lives. It has nothing to do with saying the victims of a murderer are not important or not cared about. They are important and people do care about them.

It is simply that every human being should be treated with dignity. Punish murderers? Yes. Kill them? No.

Holding folks responsible for their actions is part of the dignity of man.

Not holding folks responsible for their actions shows a lack of dignity.

I think it is undignified to give murderers the opportunity to harm and murder additional innocents.

As you may not know, those serving LWOP do have the opportunity, not only for release, but also they have the opportunity to harm and murder, again, in prison, after escape or after improper release.

Respect the dignity of those innocents already murdered and don’t allow it to happen again by that same murderer.
